This custom hand-pressed glass medallion was made in an historic glass making region of the United States.  Centuries-old production techniques result in color variations, off-center pressings, the shear cut mark, bends & bubbles, all evidence of handwork which give an individual character to each piece.  Only 100% post-consumer recycled glass is used.  Blue color glass.

The Concord Grape: Ephraim Wales Bull is "the father of the Concord grape."  He purchased 17 acres of land near Concord, Massachusetts and began growing grapes.  Located on Lexington Road, just east of the home of Nathaniel Hawthorne, Bull's farmhouse is still standing--and in the garden bedside it stands the original parent vine of all the Concord grapes in the world.  Today, over 400,000 tons of Concord grapes are grown annually in the major northern growing regions.

Henry David Thoreau celebrates wild grapes in his late natural history project on WILD FRUITS.
