The First Women's Rights Convention was held in Seneca Falls, New York, in 1848. Elizabeth Cady Stanton took on a lifelong challenge to gain voting rights for women and equal rights for all. She wrote for the newspaper The Lily under the pseudonym "Sunflower." This flower became known as the symbol for Women's Rights. Here in pewter it graces a knowing necklace. This design may also be available as a set of earrings.
