Photographer Barbara Olson caught one of Walden Pond's residents in an inquisitive moment. (Eastern chipmunk, Tamias striatus. Thoreau called them "striped squirrels.) A perfect card to send to someone, along with a handwritten "Wish you were here!" message.	Located along the northern shoreline of Walden Pond in Concord, Massachusetts, is the site where Henry David Thoreau lived from 1845-1847. The granite posts mark the footprint of the house. The sign with the Walden quote stands before the tribute cairn. Photo by Barbara Olson.	Part of the Pond Path that encircles Walden Pond in Concord, Massachusetts. Photo by Barbara Olson.
