A signature little wooden building created for The Thoreau Society by Cat's Meow Village of Wooster, Ohio. It's a free-standing depiction of the house replica that stands at Walden Pond State Reservation in Concord, Massachusetts. Text on the back reads: "'I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not live. ... I learned this, at least, by my experiment: that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.' ~ Henry David Thoeau (1817-1862). He lived in the original house from July 4, 1845, to September 6, 1847."
Measures 4 1/4 x 4 inches and is 3/4 inches thick.
